MM..MM...MELONS!

In September the fragrance of fresh cantaloupe, watermelon, and honeydew fills the air in Green River, Utah.



Each year they celebrate the harvest with Melon Days the third weekend of September. This small-town(by small I mean 1000 people) event features a parade and fair, plenty of music, square dancing(yes-i said square dancing) a canoe race, and thousands of pounds of melons! My dad is from Green River, so each year we try and make it to it. It is so fun!!! Especially now that we have a child and can "help" him get lots of candy at the parade!!

The State Fair...

My mom, Kenneth and I decided one afternoon to take Nathanial to the state fair. He LOVED it!

We went to an alligator show and at the end you could go up and hold a baby alligator. Nathanial INSISTED we do this. It was so cute. So funny! He was by far the youngest one.



Anyone that knows Nathanial knows he is obsessed with busses. It is cute, in a strange way. At the fair there were tons of school kids and we came across a bus parking lot. Nathanial was in heaven. Some cute old guy let us go on his bus. Nathanial was kicking and screaming when we left. Saying, "I want to drive the bus home!"

On September 5th KJ and Michelle were married in Arizona. It was such a fun party!!! We had a great time. And Michelle was beaming! I have never seen a happier bride. She was so cute.

The first song that came on after the first dance stuff was "I'm a Believer"
That just so happens to be Nathanial's favorite song. He turns to me and says, "Mom, Shrek Song!" "DANCE!" So, he is the one and only dancer, puttin on a little show! It was hilarious!


Oh so tired... but running on a sugar high!


We are so happy for KJ and Michelle. They are absolutely perfect for eachother!

CRAZY

This is the first weekend we have been home in 6 weeks! CRAZY! And I can't find my camera cord in the disaster of a house I have at the moment... so for now...this is all you get. Sorry!!

Kenneth's Mission Farewell is this Sunday, August 13th at 11:00 AM in the Crown Rose Ward. We are so proud of his decision to serve a mission.
